Professor QIN QIU, graduated from the major of the English Language and Literature, Dept. of Foreign Language and Literature, Nanjing University, has been dedicated to English teaching and research ever since she started her pedagogical career. Her research area mainly covers applied linguistics and pedagogy. In 2009, she visited Monash University, Australia, as a visiting scholar.

Professor QIN QIU's professional career includes Lianyungang Technical College and Nanjing Forestry University and she started to work at Nanjing Audit University (NAU) since the year of 2000. Throughout her pedagogical career, Professor QIN QIU has ceaselessly and enthusiastically conducted the following courses for students of different majors such as, College English, English-Chinese Translation, Chinese-English Translation, English Correspondence in Foreign Trade, English Phonetics, and Integrated English.
Research:
Over the years, Professor QIN QIU has published tens of scientific publications in CSSCI core scientific journals, and she either presided over or participated in four Ministry of Education (MOE) scientific projects, four Jiangsu Provincial Dept. of Education scientific projects, and NAU-level scientific projects. Professor QIN QIU also acted the role of the chief editor and editor for four English textbooks for college use nationwide. The major course Integrated English presided over by her was awarded NAU Excellent Core Course.
Awards:
In 2008, Professor QIN QIU was awarded NAU President Award for Excellent Teaching. In 2004 and 2009, she twice won the Second Prize of NAU Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award. In 2009, Professor QIN QIU was also awarded the Third Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Award for Foreign Language, Literature and Translation. She also consecutively won for four years NAU Teaching Quality Award
